In April 2013 the new Europolveri laboratories and R&D area became fully operational. The new area consist of 870 square meters located on two floors inside the plant, in a strategic position between the directional-commercial area and the productive area.
On the ground floor there are 300 square meters for the laboratory and 200 square meters for the R&D section, while on the first floor there are 370 square meters for offices and services.
Work is carried out by teams in tight collaboration between the different departments.
The R&D laboratory operates in close connection with the management, research goals and medium/long range projects are periodically discussed and planned together with the commercial management, in conformity with ISO standards; customer support activities, such as temperature and analytic tests and specifications tests are carried out upon request.
The laboratory takes care of quality controls on the finished product and on raw materials, of prototype development, of the product formulae management software maintenance, of quality codes and data and of technical support to the commercial department. It also collaborates with the production department for the analytical solution of quality-related problems, it follows the industrialisation of projects, controlling the process in all its phases, it issues operational procedures, controls incoming raw materials and validates the insertion of new ones as indicated by the technical department.
A new reality that once again testifies the resourcefulness of a company which constantly looks towards the future with great confidence. Europolveri is getting ready to implement the ISO 14001 environmental certification standards and in future it will not exclude the introduction of "Bio-Based" raw materials to improve the environmental impact of its products (improvement of the LCA – Life Cycle Analysis).
